The 11th Meeting of the California Conference in Early Modern Philosophy will be held October 25-27, 2007 at the California State University Long Beach. The Conference brings together scholars who work on various topics in Early Modern Philosophy (from Montaigne to Kant) from around the country.
Papers on any subject in early modern philosophy are welcome for presentation at the California Conference. Reading times should be approximately 40 mintues, and will be followed by a 30-minute discussion period. Graduate students are encouraged to submit abstracts, and some funding for student travel will be available.
The deadline for submitting abstracts (of approximately 750 words) is August 1st, 2007. Please send your abstracts via e-mail to mlascano@csulb.edu. If you do not receive confirmation of receipt of your abstract within a week, please resubmit or contact Marcy P. Lascano.
The program for the California Conference, along with information about travel and accomodations, will be made available by the end of August. Information will be posted on this website and on the CSULB Philosophy Department website.
